February 2018 Wrap-Up

Wow, February is already over and done with. Time just flies by. It seems like only yesterday, that 2018 started. February was great. Here’s what happened:

  • My birthday!
    • I got a Harry Potter mug from my work colleagues, who played Dutch birthday songs as I came into work on the day of my birthday.
    • Alex got me tickets for the Leipziger Buchmesse, which is going to be amazing! It’s in March.
  • Freezing temperatures, a bunch of snow, and more freezing temperatures.
  • My first Escape Room experience. It was amazing, I want to do all of them now.
  • Lots of hanging out with friends.
  • I got a unbefristeten Vertrag, a permanent contract. So I can check off
  • We’re looking for a place to live in the city, to be a closer to everything again.
  • I started watching How I Met Your Mother. First time… I can’t believe I waited this long!

As you were expecting, I read a bunch of books in February. Because, honestly, it’s impossible to go through a month without reading anything.

Not many books with added to my shelves in February.

I only got two this month. These I got from Alex from my birthday. Though, considering I also got tickets to the Leipziger Buchmesse, I’ll be adding some more books in March.

My posting streak continues. I’m so proud of myself. Check it out!

I started a new way to ‘write’ my reviews. I’m still working out the styling issues, but so far, I quite enjoy it. Simple, quick and fun. You can see it in my reviews below. Tell me what you think.

So, how was your February? What was you favorite book you read this month?

  1. I love your new review style! It’s refreshing and uncluttered.
I’m also going to be at the Leipziger Buchmesse and am really looking forward to it!

    1. Thank you!
I just got the booklet with everything that’s going on at the Buchmesse today. I’ll need some time to go through that. Vey excited about it though. 🙂 I’ve never been to a Buchmesse before.

      1. me neither! but the friend I’m going with and I want to go to the FBM in autumn as well.
yeah, the sheer amount of events is kind of overwhelming, but I’m almost done… but unfortunately, there are also some things, like book signings by authors of the drachenmond verlag for example, that aren’t listed in Leipzig liest
