Best Books of 2017

It’s the end of the year and therefore time for a review of the books I read in 2017. There are, as always, a couple that really stood out for me. It’s not quite a top ten, but who really needs those?

Best books

In no particular order:

Animal Farm by George Orwell
Running Like a Girl by Alexandra Heminsley
Die Therapie
by Sebastian Fitzek
Of Mice and Men
by John Steinbeck
A Court of Thorns and Roses, A Court of Mist and Fury, and A Court of Wings and Ruin
by Sarah J. Maas
Ik ben geen rascist by Per Nilsson
Outlander, Dragonfly in Amber, and Voyager by Diana Gabaldon
Turtles all the Way Down by John Green

I’ve not reviewed most of these books. For some reason, I find it very difficult to formulate my thoughts and feelings about books that I love. Somehow it’s easier to put my thoughts down when I’m not so invested in the books. All of the above books (or series), I adored.

All of these are also my favorites by these various authors!

What were your favorites this year, old or new?

    1. I really enjoy them. They’re a bit dense (no surpris with over 800 pages per book), so I occasionally skim a few pages. I really enjoy the story line though. Plus, you can’t go wrong with Scotland 😉
