Synopsis

It’s never too late

Elisabeth is on cloud nine. But, the closer the planned wedding comes, and the further along the build of the dreamhouse is, the bigger her doubts become, if she really found her dream husband. While Alex works as an Architect in a different town, she has to deal with the wedding preperations, the in-laws and several pregnancy tests. Then, when she sees with her own eyes that he doesn’t just take good care of the buildingsite, but also the blonde intern, she decides to change the dream wedding a tiny bit…

Bullet-point review

★★★★☆

+ funny
+ main characters’ attitude
+ chick-lit with a twist

– why hasn’t she left this asshole before?
– not translated to many languages

Full Review

As with the other Kerstin Gier books I’ve reviewed, this is one is so funny! Yes, there is a drama about to unfold (as you can tell from the synopsis), but the way this drama and this trauma is dealt with is without a doubt the best!

The other aspect of it that I absolutely adored is that this book seems so chick-lit, but then… BOOM! Plot twist instead and no happily-ever-after with the man she’s always wanted.

Unfortunately it hasn’t been translated to many different languages.
